I got a new X52. Much better then my Sidewinder Precision II.
My only issue so far is how some of the controls show up in the FSSDOE Joystick Tester and react in the game. The Throttle (JOYSTICKZ) and Rotaries (JOYSTICKRX & JOYSTICKRY) only move the FSSDOE Joystick Tester "sliders" between the center and all the way to the right. The slider on the Throttle Control moves the Tester "slider" all the way between left and right, but opposite of what I expected. In the Control Panel Game Controller Properties everything has full range of movement in the test display. The Throttle (JOYSTICKZ) gives the full 10% to 100% in the game. If I edit keyboard.inp so that inpRudderAnalog = JoystickSlider1, JoystickAxisRX, or JoystickAxisRY I get the rudder to move only between center and full right. Anyone got any idea why there's such inconsistencies?

You wrote "I get the rudder to move only between center and full right.".
...I had this problem way back with Win98 along with my old Sidewinder3D pro stick.

I have CH pedals/stick now so I won't be much help here, but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with how Windows/Control Panel's/Game Controls reacted to the stick. There HAS to be a way to over-ride something or the other as I eventually got it to work back then.

Sorry I'm not much help.

I hope so. I've exhausted all the things I can find. Sad Control Panel's/Game Controllers/Properties button gives you a window titled Saitek X52 Flight Stick Properties. In the system tray there is a Saitek icon , if you right click on, that has a 'Control Panel' line, which if you click, gives you the exact same window except titled just Saitek X52 Flight Stick. There are tabs for Test, Deadzone, LEDs, MFD, & About. None of them have any calibration (like my old Sidewinder Precision II) or control adjustments except to set deadzones on the different axis/sliders/rotaries. Control Panel's/Game Controllers has an Advance button where you select a device to use with older programs where I select the X52. I made sure that the in game input options were set to minimum/no deadzone.
Hopefully someone here in the FSSDOE community uses an X52 with the game and drops in on this thread.

Tanx,
