Actually the existing Seaplane Landing Plate (I think that is what it is called) covers the whole ocean...) But this sounds much better... (The cat doesnt take any damage at all to the lower hull Thats how I avoided destroying the plane. (And you didnt shoot it down by putting holes in the bottom half... You had to hit the pylon, wings engine or cockpit... (And that what you must do in SDOE).

As asked earlier how does it affect other planes... For example, the Cat has a special DM that will cause the hidden gear to break if the landing is too hard.. This puts the part of the plane that takes damage nose heavy in the water and if you can't get up in a hurry, you wont get up at all...

The special DM on the Cat should still work as before. Send me the bird, and I'll test it out.

I guess i'll have to post another film of the various planes crash-landing/bullet strikes/bombs .... should be fun.

The SDOE torpedo. Never used it. Does it travel under the water layer? With my Test Range terrain, underwater travel is possible.

The WWI torp that I designed travels right at the surface of the water if not just below. It skips along for quite some distance. The WW2 torp that I started was picked up by Mace. I don't really know how it works now, but it used to skip along the surface but sank rather quickly..

Yes it would affect torpedos... They are usually but to take a certain amount of damage... This (in part) affects the range you drop at... The new system sounds better. Range is affected my speed. Once it slows down it would drop low enough in the water that it would go under the shup... (Most torpedos have a hidden airfoil...)

Braddock: Yes it was Fraps.
Snick: Can I get your seaplane? Would love to post a film with it.

The torpedo with an inversed float guage? Then she would run from start to finish under the water!

Here's a cool little tip:
The water material layer, which sits just below the "water" surface, has its normal facing down....... Cool

Replaced treetop material with swamp ... so far so good.
Better splash effects. Thanks Jerry Smile
