I am of course referring to the Plane Pack 5 release candidate. At least that is what was told to me by a close friend and Beta tester.

Now with AI that can take off and gain altitude along with a terrain that has many new ground objects, targets, populated towns and things to shoot at/run into plus newly reworked airfields; Plane Pack 5 may well put FS-WWI back on the WWI sim map.

I am working very hard with terrain Beta testers to finish up Somme as well as working on getting things wrapped up for a Plane Pack 5 release soon after the New Year. With 52 flyable aircraft, two flyable balloons, one flyable Zeppelin, 8 drivable ground vehicles, 430 Training missions and 185 Campaign Missions to choose from FS-WWI has a lot of content to offer!!! Happy

Great to hear that you are preparing for yet another release Smile Seems to be a full make-over. With 52 flyables this exceeds every W.W.I flight sim to date.

Cheers

Thanks RGemmrigXO!! FS-WWI really has gotten another make-over. It seems now I'm having very little to do making our FS-WWI mod any more perfect! Wink

Good to hear the AI can take off now! That would have certainly made working on mission packs easier, although I remember I discovered some kind of work around to get them off the ground, forget what it was now? Or maybe I'm just imagining things lol.

Blacksheep, I think you had to start the AI on one of the airfields ontop of a hill. Now the AI can actually climb so you can have them take off with a full load, fuel, bombs, ammo and all.

I should add that Im adding the tanks to the content and redoing alot of their missons. Also, Im creating new GUI content for them so they are on par with the rest.

Ahh, yes, that was one of the tricks.

Blacksheep, the new Somme that will be released is much more flat. No more mountians for the AI to run into.

Merry Christmas to you Spiny!
