Jaguar Checking in.

I can't believe this community is still going! It's great to see you all again!

I think I'm going to have to dig up my old FS disk and try installing it.

Anyone happen to still have a copy of my Huey? All that stuff got wiped out about 3 computers ago Sad Can't even find a picture of her! Like she never existed.

Cheers!

Hello there sir! Been a long long time. Indeed we are still here, tho dwindling. Many old-timers do stop in and say Hi now and again of course.

There's lots of stuff still up for download, even more helos now. There's an ISO option, original CD install option and then lots of packs here:

http://www.openplanesim.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4614

Everything you need for an FS-WWI install here:

http://www.fsww1.com/ (Pick install option 3 if you don't want to use a CD)

Yes, I found the file. ZIP name is "Huey_Beta_2.zip"

So it looks like it is the same as Argon has. I could share the file, please PM me.

LOl thats wicked! it's great to see you guys are still around. I can't believe how much the game has progressed. I'm very impressed guys, very impressed!

From what I remember, the Huey never really got past the 2nd Beta, it just eventually got called done with no further changes.

Thanks for the Links Argon, I'll give it a go! I bet, you can check out of Flight Simulator, but you can never leave hahaha

Hey Razer!! I've been doing great! How are you?

Thanks Manuel! I'll PM you my Email addy.

Good 'ol Snick, how ya doin' bud!?

.....SSssssoooooooooo....... I must confess something...... I have been playing an unhealthy amount of War Thunder...... But it's actually what made me come back to SDoE! lol I think SDoE still by far my most fav. Flight Sim. Thanks for keeping it alive!!

Cheers!

Hey no problem guy! Hope you get it all up and going ok. Smile

War of Thunder eh? I heard it is pretty fun on-line. Sadly, I don't have much time for on-line gaming these days. World of Tanks is about the only thing I play anymore on-line. Sad

War Thunder has tanks now, and it's crazy! Not only do they model the ballistics of each round, but also they calculate the ballistics of the fragments as they travel inside the tank:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_S43IaYOQ4

Just like on the planes, damage is calculated by the caliber, velocity of the round, where it strikes on the object and what damage it does once/if it penetrates. If you using a high velocity armor piercing shell at close range, it will pass right through the tank, and if it doesn't hit anything on the way through, no damage will be recorded. It's pretty cool.
