Glad to see the old girl back up Ill try not to be so strange, I mean such a stranger...

Not exactly into flight sims any more (that's a long story for another post...)
(Would have been here sooner but couldn't get into my account earlier... (my fault I think).

Any way, hey all! Cool

Have any of y'all got a suggestion as to how to get past this annoying message on the road to reloading FS:SDOE, and all it's trimmings?

D:\Setup.exe

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

With the machine I've got, operating in a Windows 7 environment, this seems to make the prospect a "non-starter" . . . Smile

Ah, if you run setup.exe from the CD Drive:\Setup\setup.exe that should do it. Also, do not install it into the Program Files folder if you can help it.

From "The Right Stuff", by Tom Wolfe . . .

"I've tried 'A', I've tried 'B', I've tried 'C' - and I still can't shake him (the bogey) - what do I do now?"
"Shut Up and die like a Naval Aviator . . . "

I doing an "end-run" - reactivating an older computer of my Sis-In-Law that has a later version of Windows 98 and a 12 year old mother board. It seems to work! Thanks for you assistance - I'll keep you posted!! Smile

If you get a working installation on the old machine, you should be
able to copy it to your current device and it should run fine there.
