We have alot of WW1 aircraft flying here in NZ. Including I think 7 Fokker triplanes.
Where I live there is a company that builds from scratch and restores WW1 aircraft. They built the alot of the triplanes for Peter Jackson (Lord of the rings director) We also have a muesem here with heaps of replicas set in scenes with wax figures etc. Really good stuff.
A WW1 buff such as yourself should be booking a holiday here, especially while our exchange rate is so bad.

Nearby here is Old Rhinebeck which isn't too bad either. Lots of great stuff in the hangers...
