Well for starters I think the new WWI-themed GUI looks great!!!

Make FS-WWI seem like a whole new sim (I'm a little biased when it comes to that GUI though). LOL! Laugh

To be followed shortly thereafter by his Somme repaint.

The new skins look superb! The Sopwith Tri looks better with the new sight. The Sop Tri handles wonderfully but the Dr1 seems sluggish in turns. Any Idea why?

WOW, Fantastic!

I've only had a little time to fly since installing everything but I'm really impressed. You guys really have taken this a level higher, the textures are amazingly detailed not to mention engine parts and radiators etc. I love the new scenery, the Somme is looking much better than before. I like the new GUI too, with all these improvements it's like I've just downloaded a whole new SIM.

The FMs seem better but I've only had 30mins flying time Sad

Look forward to getting online with you guys.

I have not had a chance to fly, but the GUI is cool Smile

I ddid notice that if you do the full conversion to remove all wwii stuff that there are no missions in the Afrrica, Dover & Rhineland map folders. I'll try to do something about this when I get a chance. Smile

I do have a CTD every time I start up a home made mission with 8 or 9 Fokker D-VII planes. Have it on Open GL and D3D. Must be general settings.

Also stutters on new sounds and slow loading textures. More general set up problems I think.

I want to thank you for the pack and I am looking forward for a new years party with you all!

Try opening that mission with the 1.6.0.6 Patch ME and double check the squadrons and resave.

What sound card do you have? If it's onboard it will not work as well as the CPU has to use some of its cycles to calculate the sounds. For the slow loading textures, look in the Getting the Best doc for the TextureCacheSize setting. Smile
