Why don't Flame Wars postings show up in the Recent Topics colum at the top of the Forums Index page?

Because they are not the MAIN focus of this site.

Oh. Eh

I just posted a test in the RC Simulator Forum. It moved to the top of the Current Topics list. Does this mean that the RC Simulator section is the Main focus of this site? There hasn't been a post there since March 2004 - almost 3 years. Flame Wars is much more active.

Jerry,

I think the idea is that people have to make a concious effort to enter
Flame Wars. It is made not quite so accessible so that only people who
feel they can dish it out and take it will go there and likewise people
who want nothing to do with the place won't be getting in there by
accident.

Also, I believe, Flame Wars is only available to registered, signed in
members not guests. I'm not 100% sure about this though.

Correct. The "latest posts" list is visible to everyone, but FW is for registered members only, to stop drive by imolations.

Does RC Simulator runs on the Openplanesim engine?

Yes! Ok then, it is part of the MAIN focus of this site. Be it SDOE (the original), FS-WWI, RC Sim, etc.

Flame wars is something that is not essential to this game engine (or site), therefore, as stated by previous posters, it will not be placed in any forums listing. It is a hidden, registered-members only section, in which you only enter at your own desire.

But fear not Jerry, if you use RSS, you can, if I remember properly, follow all the FW arguments.
