Ok, I've got the converter to make a new SMK intro movie. The only problem is that after it converts to SMK, the game won't launch the video! It does the original... I can play it fine with my SMK player. SDOE just won't play it.. I've converted it to 8-bit at 320x240 like the original. Can anyone help?

P.S. I should mention that Darky1 has made a new one but I've been unable to get ahold of him. He gave it to me at one point but the file got corrupted somehow.. Sad

All you need are these Smacker tools:

http://files.filefront.com/Smacker+Tools/;9461;/fileinfo.html

Then just take the movie file you made and convert it over. No need to force the frame rate or data rate to anything special. I converted the movie to 640x480 and it worked great. Smile

These ones? Or the ones from their own website? (Which are RAD Tools I think). These are an older revision and for whatever reason they seem to work well. In these tools, at the top click the Smack tab. Then select your movie in the far left tab. Then you can change the height and width if you need to under the Options tabs (Don't mess with the frames boxes. You don't need to change the data rate or palettes either). Then select your output file name and click on Smack.

Now for the, me quality isn't as great as the original... But I guess that's what Smacker does; takes the video and breaks it down to as small as a memory footprint as possible.

One thing I forgot to add.. If you want to go from a wmv to a smk use the new RAD Tools first to convert to smk then use the ones I linked to here to give you the smk that works with SDOE.

Bink Version 1.7c and smacker Version 4.2a

Will try the older version from the link
