Just got the model from Rends. I'm going to try to rewire it ...
Right now its built to much like a plane.
If it works out, maybe it can be used as a template for other
"player-able" watercraft/vehicles.

-Floats
-Moves under player control
Highlights:
-prop under water

Okay, what generic animation can we use on a watercraft for when the
ai calls the flaps?

Sounds good mate! And she doesn't take damage to the hull after extended periods? What she could really use now is a hi-res texture and a cockpit!!

How about the waves ship creates while moving.
When Flaps down=slow speed small wave and when flaps up big wave.
Could be done with an low poly 3d model and a transparent texture.
some SDOe ships comes already with such transparent wave textures.

Great news 7mks! I had been working on a driveable PT Boat a long while ago but work stalled on it when I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to prevent the hull from taking damage. At one stage I'm sure I had it but then I 'lost it'.

Anyway, great to see the PT Boat 're-born'. Very Happy Keep us posted on how it goes.

There are lots of projects (OPS) on going. I jump from one to the other to avoid "burn-out".
Priority is to get this CTD with the outside view figured out first (Wasserfall Site version 3).

The other thing with CVehicles as CAircraft, which I find a major draw back, is CAircraft will not engage the enemy while sitting on the ground, or on the water.

The problem with AA guns is that I think they have to be defined as flak... And AA guns aren't a vehicle class. I'm wondering if you could predefine an altitude and speed in the SM file, that way the AI will think it is flying when it's not. Then it could aim and follow waypoints.

Yeah nevermind about setting the initial velocity... Turns out the game actually makes you go that speed when you enter the mission!!!
