Sort of off topic and maybe kinda dumb, but.. How do you capture screenshots and what are the key(s) combination for frame rates?
( Asks the new guy who's also noticed the banding, but doesn't care because the sky and visuals kick ass despite a little video weirdness..)
Oh yeah, I'm running a GeForce MX 440 on my machine so you guys are way ahead of me in video power.. _________________ FMS & Targetware 3D Model dev. |

Ah,
Z takes a screen shot and places it in the 1.6.0.6 Patch folder.
I think Alt-P is the frame rate counter.
With that MX 440, you probably only see little banding... _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

Wow. What a generous gesture, toward this venerable beast and its community; I guess with all the work he's done on it, he maybe feels kind of a paternal affection toward the old gal. Now, I must rise to the occasion and express appreciation without letting any of my terrain wishlist leak out and spoil it
ThankYou!! Thank You!! |

Indeed a most gracious offer! SDOE's members have been steadily declining, but the kicker was the decline in image quality with the new hardware... I think he will also try to add widescreen support with OpenGL32.
Thank you indeed VDU!!!!! _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

That is excellent news! As I have both a new high end video card and a widescreen monitor now. VDU, thank you for working on this _________________

This new terrain wouldn't include Alsace and the Black Forest regions? _________________ FMS & Targetware 3D Model dev. |

| No, it's about the mechanics of the terrain engine, DX9 water and so on... Far too much reworking to consider for the old beast. |
