Sort of off topic and maybe kinda dumb, but.. How do you capture screenshots and what are the key(s) combination for frame rates?

( Asks the new guy who's also noticed the banding, but doesn't care because the sky and visuals kick ass despite a little video weirdness..)

Oh yeah, I'm running a GeForce MX 440 on my machine so you guys are way ahead of me in video power..

Ah,

Z takes a screen shot and places it in the 1.6.0.6 Patch folder.
I think Alt-P is the frame rate counter.

With that MX 440, you probably only see little banding... Smile

Wow. What a generous gesture, toward this venerable beast and its community; I guess with all the work he's done on it, he maybe feels kind of a paternal affection toward the old gal. Now, I must rise to the occasion and express appreciation without letting any of my terrain wishlist leak out and spoil it

ThankYou!! :oooh Thank You!!

Indeed a most gracious offer! SDOE's members have been steadily declining, but the kicker was the decline in image quality with the new hardware... Sad I think he will also try to add widescreen support with OpenGL32.

Thank you indeed VDU!!!!!

That is excellent news! As I have both a new high end video card and a widescreen monitor now. VDU, thank you for working on this Very Happy

This new terrain wouldn't include Alsace and the Black Forest regions?

No, it's about the mechanics of the terrain engine, DX9 water and so on... Far too much reworking to consider for the old beast.
