This plays Doom 3 as smooth as glass, and hopefully HL 2 as well. I can't wait for Pacific Fighters too! _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

cool specs Argon.
I wonder why do you got a 1.44mb floppy drive ?
I havn´t used mine since years. In the past i did all my backups on CD-Rs and even that is outdated because i only use DVDs for backups now.
PS: Congrats mate for passing the 1000s _________________ Rends

Asus P4C800E Del DDR/400 875P
Intel P4 EE 3.4 W/2MB L3 Cache
Corsair TwinX 2,048MB 3200LL-PT
GeForce 6800Ultra Extreme 256MB

DVD-ROM 16x, 48x CDROM
Plexwriter 52/32/52 CDRW

Other items are things I had and are running:
Sony Trintron 19"

Wow Himdog that's one HELL of a system! I wish I could afford the 6800 Ultra and the Raptor drives... Those things are SWEET!
Blacksheep, because I can.
Rends, I still use the floppy drive to run diag tools and what not on. That and a few of my really old games I have load onto the PC with the floppy. Plus if I ever have to format, I can boot up on my Win98SE floppy and FDISK! _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

Good to cya too Snick. Snick your only one state away from me now (NC here).
Argon, Hey you work for Best Buys, they'll cut you a deal. Anyway with the specs of your system you should be kicking butt and *$()@# out fire!
Hentzau, the CH Throttle has a mouse device (works just like a mouse) right by your left thumb that works great, very smooth and adjustable. |

Yeah I get a fairly good discount thru Best Buy. But still that's a lot of cash to drop... How much did you get the Raptors for? Im curious... My system does hold its own tho! Maybe I'll see you online some day with Doom 3 or Half-Life 2, and yes even IL-2: FB.
Here's to rock'in systems! _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

Well I did it again!!!!!
Best Buy had a really good deal on a Western Digital 160GB hard drive for $30.00 after rebates the day after T-day. So I bought that! I transfered all of my stuff over from my secondary 60GB drive to the new 160GB drive with no problems. I also set up the new drive with a small partition (2GB) for just the swap file. Ontop of that I've added a 120mm side case fan and a 80mm blowhole fan (Both have blue LEDs) onto my case for better cooling. With this I can increase my graphics card memory even more to 1,100Mhz with no problems even after the longest gaming sessions.
I also have a new mouse, mouse pad and keyboard on order!! Here's the new keyboard:
http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/gamerskey.htm
New mouse:
https://www.razerzone.com/diamondback.html (I got the Chameleon Green one)
And new mouse pad:
https://www.razerzone.com/exactmat.html
Ontop of that, I got a REALLY good deal on a Samsung 19 inch flat screen (Note, not flat panel) 997DF silver monitor a while back!!! (I've had this for about a month now) It has a higher max res and higher refresh rates at higher resolutions too. I also have a really good feeling about getting Track IR 3 Pro for a X-Mas gift... That should be fun!!! To go along with my new chair-mounted HOTAS controller mounts for added realism and accessability.
So my new specs are as follows:
Antec 430W PSU
ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard with 1009 BIOS
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton core)
1,536mb Crucial PC3200 DDR400 memory (3x512 sticks)
BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC @ 400Mhz core and 1,100Mhz memory
Maxtor 120GB ATA133 hard drive @ 7200 RPM
Western Digital 160GB ATA100 hard drive @ 7200 RPM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card
Creative Inspire T5400 5.1 speaker system
Buslink DVD-ROM drive
Buslink DVD+-RW/+-R and CD-RW/-R drive
1.44mb floppy drive
Samsung SyncMaster 997DF 19in. monitor
Belkin USB 2.0 7-port hub
Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar stock joystick
Thrustmaster Elite rudder pedals
Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick
Creative WebCam NX Ultra
Razer Diamondback USB mouse
Saitek Gaming USB keyboard
HP Deskjet 3650 USB Printer _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

AH yet more upgrading!!!!
Ok, I was getting tired of my old floppy drive... Soo I went and bought an all-in-one Floppy drive/Compact Flash/Microdrive/SD/MMMC/Sony Mem stick and Mem Stick Pro/Smart Media card reader. Now all I can easily read my MP3 player and digital camera memory sticks as well as others that come over and visit. _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

Hey Argon, I just recently bought that saitek keyboard, & it real smoth man, a very nice keyboard, the only thing I don't like is that it sits to flat for me taste but it was easily rectified with two old film containers I had lying around
