It sounds like some child objects have too much weight defined to them. It also sounds like the suspension is set to handle the previous heavy load. There should be DOFs for the axles, which are probably hidden objects.

Lewis!

I'm polishing up the Early Blimp and I need some history of the design for the GUI in the Hangar. Got anything?

This mod sounds so great. I loved the bird-plane in the WWI mod and generally I love such "weird-tech" stuff.

Indeed, I was always a fan of the "odd" in aviation. Wink

Some progress!

Collision points have been tweaked heavily, and a crude damage model coded in. AI control also better now. I also completely redid the gas bag texture mapping and skin. That's my hack job of a skin above, but someone could make it look better.

Woops,, I'm afraid to say that it's a complete fabrication somewhat loosely based on SantosDumont's later personal dirigibles and a couple of larger early English blimps from the early 1910's.

I have to say it's gorgeous, I'm just in complete awe that you can take my rough creations and make them better than I could imagine them to be. you got the AI to fly it also, I'd just about given up on this. #Mad

Thank you Jason.

OK some more updates of the "interior" cockpit of the blimp I've added a control sheave for the elevator and I need to add some engine controls.

Great news about the extra details! I'm a master at polishing things up, mainly because I can't build anything for myself! Can you send me the new bits and I can add them in? Then send you latest?

Last night I spent some time trying to hunt down CTD bugs with the 3d meshes. I created a race type mission that was crashing the game at random. I think I corrected all the potential mesh problems across all the aircraft.

I'm not sure if it was just my computer but with the Farman III if I looked back over right shoulder from the seat, towards the hangars at the SW corner of the airfield I would get a CTD. This would happen only with the Farman though. Can you get different planes to race each other starting from the same airfield? The Eastbourne And Caudron N didn't both like starting from Vaux at the same time.

I thought I sent you the elevator wheel and fulcrum/sheave and a sheave for the rudderwheel. Yes I did get your improved models, I haven't installed them yet. I need to make some additional parts for the blimp, but I've been back logged trying to bring other 3D projects along further.

Too many irons in my fire I think.
