The grand finale!

Saved this until last as it has the most updates. Find it as usual at ModDB:

http://www.moddb.com/games/fighter-squadron-screamin-demons-over-europe/downloads/british-commonwealth-legacy-planepack-v50

The Version 5 changes:

- CA17 given new hi-res skin.

- Plane names standardized.

- New 'rough edge' Hangar shots.

- Many skins tweaked in some minor way (lightened, little weathering, etc.).

- Pathfinder Lancater is now the Canadian Lancaster X. It no longer conflicts with other Lancasters and has been given multi-bay capacity and Target Indicator loadouts.

- Lancaster II has been given multi-bay capacity and Target Indicator loadouts.

- Mosquito bomber has been given Target Indicator loadouts and shrouded engine stacks. The body shading and mapping issues have been fixed too.

- Mosquito F II has been given shrouded engine stacks.

- RAAF Mosquito has been given regular engine stacks and its flight model has been heavily tweaked (you and the AI can now fly it!).

- PR Mosquito has had its physical model replaced with the bomber version, complete with glass nose and engine stacks but without the bomb bay.

- The 'invasion' Mosquito has been given regular engine stacks.

- The Mosquito XVIII has been given regular engine stacks.

- Stirling has been given Target Indicator and Paratrooper loadouts and the model has been cleaned up to be less of a FR hog. The texture mapping has also been improved.

- Swordfish has had an observer and a gunner added.

- Spitfires VB LF, VC, and HF VIII have all had their canopy textures 'retargeted' to unique textures for that plane in question.

- Spitfires VC and HF VIII have been moved under Great Britain and been given new skins. The RAAF skins have been moved to the RAAF SkinPack (coming soon).

- Barracuda: Adjusted inertia boxes and values, position of airPoints, position of obBodyPts and added new ones for proper collision, empty weight, engine RPM, view for rear gunner, and rear gunner movement degrees of freedom. Fixed DOFs for wheels and prop. Tweaked LOD switchin values for certain parts. Fixed wings, flaps, ailerons, hstabs and rudder shading problems, corrected DOFs for ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudder, corrected placement of damage wingtip and fuselage pieces, found and included rear gunner drum texture, increased res for some cockpit panel textures.

As the likely last of the big packs to be released, at least in the WW2 space, I had to use the Manchester IA as the picture. It was the discovery of it (at GT's site) that led me to this community in the first place way back in 1999/2000! I've come full circle.

Can I get the original 3D files for the Barracuda to modify into a Fairey Battle?

I don't know if the original 3d files still exist...? Just the SMs?

Oooops!

Put it down to my technical ignorance, but all I have is the un-parred plane, nothing more. Is that of any value?

Ah, I was thinking this was the .ac file, so it's just the .sm? I'm assuming that this is the one you just worked on and more improved than the one that came with Hip's Aussie download .iso and if it is, then yes, it has value

More fixes for some of the Legacy Packs (I have a list from 3dp) and of course the Indy Wing. Smile

Were a good portion of these new planes' FM altered any? I've been tweaking the flight modelling of the bf110c and both the He-111's to somewhat accuratize their level flight speeds and climb speeds. The HE 111s were a bit too fast.
