I was slightly pleased as well. A real good DM would be the icing on the cake. Then I'll post it at the same site for those interested to download and use/study. Its very simple, and can be done with other landcraft. The weight, DM on CVehicles, etc. etc is pretty well understood. Now I see why that the source code for openplanesim is locked in a safe.
I saw the other day a wasserfall on youtube for that il21946 ... I think ours is years ahead. |

7, You've inspired me to go digging in my ancient archive. Do you have a
copy of the old Ground Pack files, with the original intricately detailed Tiger II
tank? I have a copy of GP2, but I'm not sure if that was the right one, as
the tiger was reconstructed to be far simpler at one point. It could be though,
as the .sm file for the GP2 Tiger is 749k, vs 275k for the GP3 version. (Anyone
remember? - the GP2 version is dated Sept 01, the GP3 version is Oct 02. The
main thing that makes me doubt is that I recall regretting that I had lost it, early
on, and it seems to me I had GP2 for quite a while; also the GP2 zip has a hangar
image only for the Tiger, and it rather looks like the simplified version, with the
wheels all drawn on a surface, rather than individually modelled.)
Anyway, if you've never met it, you might find it very interesting, as it is
mindbogglingly animated - each wheel on the treads is individually modelled,
and you can blow it up and scatter them all in different directions, bouncing
and spinning like coins on a table top. |

I have the following if anyone needs them:
GroundPack.zip
GP2.exe
GP3.exe
GP3_Patch_v1.1.exe |

Smoke, I'd definitely like a copy of GroundPack.zip, so
I can reacquaint myself with the original Tiger II. I'm
thinking with my greatly enhanced processing power
it shouldn't be such a load on the system (well, we can
hope - I don't imagine there's too much multi-threading
can do for the old SDOE executable). |

I've never seen that Tiger. Would be interesting to see if it is a CVehicle, or CAircraft object.
If anyone wants to get involved with these moving CVehicles just PM me.
Would be great to setup a project team. No stress, no rush. Just Simple Fun.
(By the way. I recently updated my video drivers for an ATI card. As a result, I have lost my fixed aspect ratio. How can I get it back? I can't seem to find the settings for this anywhere. If you can help just PM) |

Turn off GPU scaling and see if that fixes it. You can also set your monitor to not stretch but keep a fixed aspect ratio. _________________ 'Go Fly A Kite!'

Updated the little video showing the current development:
Simple Fun 3
Whats new:
1. Flying debris is a simple reference to the debris.sm loaded already at start up.
2. Bending dof for "better" turret damage.
3. obProb kill effects
Will add this (#1) to the wasserfall and feuerlilie missles/rockets. The debris has mass and bodypoints. Thus a heavy peice of debris striking a plane could be dangerous...
